Geelong Botanic Gardens

Today was the first full day that we have spent with Cathryn's parents since they arrived on Wednesday evening and it has been lovely spending time with them again after 5 1/2 months. As it was such a beautiful, warm day, we thought we would relax and take a walk through Geelong's Botanic Gardens.

It is such a gorgeous little spot, perfect for picnics and quiet walks, or for just appreciating all of the different colours and smells of the plants and trees...the variety is amazing. I'm sure we'll be visiting again very soon.

Chasing Sunsets & Thinking of Home

Here are a few shots of a gorgeous sunset that Cathryn and I chased around the countryside near Torquay last sunday evening. It was an absolute scorcher of a day and we knew that the sunset would be something special so we hopped in the car and headed west in search of some 'Aussie Gold'. As you can see from these photos, it really was worth the effort and we found a great spot to watch it set between the trees and grasses.

To all our family and friends who are starting to wrap up for the winter back in the UK, we hope this puts a bit of sunshine and warmth in your day/weekend. We love you and miss you all.
