I can't believe how long it's been since I posted any of our photos from our Australian Road Trip! The last few months have been so busy with weddings, engagement shoots and general day to day things, that I just haven't had a chance to sit down and look through the thousands of photos that we took along the way!

I've made a promise to myself that I'll be posting a blog a week about our adventure until all of it has been shared though, so you can expect to see a few more of these types of posts over the coming weeks, along with a few gorgeous wedding/couple shoots : )

This blog mainly focuses on an absolutely amazing day that we spent touring around Fraser Island. We hadn't planned to visit Fraser when we started out on the journey, but as we got closer we just knew that we had to go there or end up regretting it forever otherwise. What a great decision we made, we really did have an amazing time. We laughed our heads off whilst we were getting thrown all over the place in our off road tour bus, we swam in the stunning Lake Mackenzie, saw wild Dingoes, floated lazily down a natural gorge and learnt so much about the indigenous people and the immigrant logging community that lived on the island years ago.

All I can say is, if you're ever close enough to visit Fraser, whether it be for a day or for a week then you absolutely must go, it's a truly special place!

You don't turn 30 everyday do you, but if you did then you'd probably settle for a sunrise like this!

If this is what my 30's are going to look like then I can't wait to get started!

People who know me well know that music plays a huge part in my life. Whilst I don't have a musical bone in my body, nor any sense of rhythm for that matter, I do love listening to music...a lot!

Now, I'm the first to admit that I can be a little slow on the uptake...I refused to listen to Nirvana's Nevermind for over 10 years after it was released because I felt like the music press and my mates were trying to force me to like it!!! What a douche! The same is kind of true with Spotify! However, since accidentally wiping my iPod whilst travelling and not having access to my CD collection, which is still in storage since moving home, I have been forced to listen to music online and more often than not, I do it using Spotify.

Since I've started doing this, I've found myself listening to an even broader range of musical styles than before, rediscovering old favourites and tapping into new bands and tracks that I otherwise may have taken months or years to unearth.

I tend to spend long periods of time at my desk editing shoots, handling emails , blogging etc... and have started creating playlists to stave off boredom, repetition and insanity. As of now, I'll be sharing my monthly playlist of favourite tracks with you.

A little sneak peek from Jenni & Tom's gorgeous Dartmoor wedding at Burnicombe Farm on Saturday. This shot was taken during the 2 minutes of sunshine we were blessed with on the day!

Come back soon to see more of this lovely pair and their fantastic 'BBQ I Do' wedding...

A few weeks ago I posted the beautiful sailing engagement session that I shot with the wonderful Emelie and Alan, and I am pleased to finally be sharing their gorgeous Swedish/Cornish wedding with you all!

To say that their wedding day was special just doesn't quite cover it! There was so much laughter, fun, singing,  drinking and surprises that it could have filled two whole days. The surprises I mention happen to include a beautiful wedding car, an aeroplane fly-pass and the newly wed couple getting kidnapped by Cornish Pirates en-route to their own reception party and sailing them down the river!

Emelie looked stunning in her gorgeous Alfred Angelo dress, which was purchased in her homeland of Sweden. Coupled with her beautiful hair and make up, which was done courtesy of the very lovely Gillian Thomas Bunker, she looked absolutely radiant. Alan, and his three best men all looked extremely dapper in their tailed suits which were hired from Cornwall's Little Anne-Maids, in Camborne. All of which was topped off with exquisite floral bouquets and buttonholes by Kirtsy at Escential Blooms, in Liskeard.

Being a Swedish/Cornish wedding we were treated to a pied piper, a band of pirates, random outbursts of songs and sea shanties and plenty of aquavit being skolled!

As I'm sure you've worked out by now, Emelie and Alan have a great fondness for water and sailing on it together. The sea has played an enormous role in bringing them together and shaping them into the wonderful couple that they are, that it seems only fitting that they tied the knot and celebrated their big day only feet from the lapping waves in their hometown of Fowey.

As always, I'd like to thank them for inviting me to be a part of their wedding day!
